Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Winston-Salem, NC

An opportunity is available for an experienced infusion pharmacist to support a pharmacy operation in Greensboro, NC. This per diem contract assignment offers immediate coverage needs with the potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. Candidates with a strong background in home infusion and sterile compounding are highly encouraged to apply. Retail pharmacists will also be considered for contract assignments during the search for an infusion pharmacist.

Location: Greensboro, NC
Schedule/Shift:

• Per diem, flexible dates with likely coverage a few days each week

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders specifically for infusion therapies
• Oversee the preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications
• Ensure strict compliance with USP <797> and <800> sterile compounding standards
• Provide clinical support, drug information, and guidance to pharmacy staff and patients
• Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain efficient workflow and ensure patient safety
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Pharmacist license in North Carolina, in good standing
• Recent infusion or home infusion experience is required
• Strong expertise in sterile compounding techniques
• Thorough understanding of USP <797> and <800> guidelines
• Ability to work independently while adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment
