Travel Contract | Inpatient Pharmacist | Virginia

We are seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week+ contract assignment at a 200-bed community hospital in Southwest Virginia. This travel opportunity includes non-taxed stipends as part of the weekly compensation package, for eligible travelers.

Location: Southwest Virginia
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 Weeks+
Schedule: Variable Days/Afternoons
Shifts: Mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts
Setting: 200-Bed Community Hospital
IT Systems: EPIC & Pyxis

What You’ll Do

• Verify medication orders and ensure safe, accurate medication use.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians.
• Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide medication-related recommendations and clinical support.
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis for pharmacy operations.
• Support daily pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance.

Education & License Requirements

• PharmD or BSPharm from an accredited pharmacy program.
• Active Virginia Pharmacist License required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Hospital pharmacy experience with strong order verification skills.
• Experience with EPIC and Pyxis preferred.
• Pharmacy technician supervision experience preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work variable day/afternoon shifts.
