A rewarding opportunity is available for a pharmacist with a focus on long-term care, offering a dynamic part-time schedule with a blend of day and evening shifts, including rotating weekends. This contract position requires an experienced professional ready to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities include comprehensive long-term care pharmacy duties such as PV1 and PV2 roles, supervising pharmacy technicians, managing multi-dose and blister packing processes, and preparing and verifying sterile and non-sterile medications including IVs and TPNs. The role demands hands-on involvement in compounding and accuracy in medication checks, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Candidates with prior experience in long-term care settings are highly preferred, especially those familiar with PV1 and PV2 responsibilities. Experience with the Frameworks system is a strong plus, though training can be provided for the right candidate. A valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing is required.
