A Long-Term Care (LTC) and Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD) pharmacy in Rocky Hill, CT, is seeking a motivated Staff Pharmacist for a direct hire opportunity. This position offers the chance to work in a specialized setting supporting vulnerable populations with a dynamic pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primarily focus on Prescription Verification Level 2 (PV2), including checking and verifying prescriptions.
- Cross-train to Prescription Verification Level 1 (PV1) based on aptitude and performance.
- Manage high prescription volume efficiently, maintaining accuracy and patient safety.
- Utilize the Frameworks pharmacy system for daily operations.
- Provide occasional support on Saturdays as needed.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Connecticut pharmacist license is required.
- Prior experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy preferred; candidates with retail pharmacy backgrounds are considered with training and support.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle a high-volume workflow.
- Flexibility to work either 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM shifts, with the ability to adapt between both schedules.
