Key Responsibilities:

• Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education via phone, addressing questions about new prescriptions, refills, side effects, medication adherence, and proper use.
• Collaborate with prescribers and their offices to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may affect timely dispensing.
• Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and accurate dosing.
• Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a high-volume, closed-door fulfillment setting, ensuring the accuracy of drug, dose, quantity, and labeling before dispensing.
• Support the pharmacy manager and staff with receiving, processing, and transferring patient prescriptions, taking ownership of the transfer process from start to finish.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in the state of Missouri.
• Experience as a pharmacist, preferably in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy settings. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
