An immediate opportunity for a Staff Pharmacist to contribute to high-quality pharmaceutical care during a 13-week contract is available in the Saint Paul, MN area. This role offers a chance to support patient health through medication management and professional consultation within a dynamic pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of overuse.
  • Maintain detailed, confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
  • Provide expert advice on medication usage, side effects, drug interactions, and storage requirements.
  • Educate patients on the use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Perform compounding of medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to address drug-related issues and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Deliver patient services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Minnesota pharmacist license required.
  • Retail pharmacy experience preferred; willing to train motivated candidates.
  • Strong communication skills for patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts: 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., or 11:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m., including weekends.

Schedule:

  • Flexible shifts with rotation on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Start date: ASAP.
