Staff Pharmacist | Saint Paul, Minnesota

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist ready to work a 13-week contract in the Saint Paul, MN area. This role is a priority backfill due to a recent assignment ending, making it essential to fill promptly with a candidate local and able to start immediately. The client works with many vendors, so speed and availability are key to securing this position.

Schedule includes flexible shifts rotating between 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., or 11 a.m. - 8:30 p.m., including weekends. This is a contract role with coverage needed for 13 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accepting and dispensing prescription medications accurately
• Monitoring patient medication compliance and usage patterns
• Ensuring medications are prescribed properly and supplied in accordance with regulations
• Maintaining accurate, confidential patient and pharmacy records
• Counseling patients on medication use, side effects, and storage
• Providing additional patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management
• Educating patients on medical device use (e.g., blood pressure monitors, glucose meters)
• Compounding medications and preparing sterile solutions as needed
• Supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
• Managing pharmaceutical inventory efficiently
• Collaborating with healthcare teams including physicians and nurses to resolve drug-related issues

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with current MN license in hand
• Open to retail pharmacists seeking training for this role
• Ability to work flexible shifts and weekends
