A pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment in the Saint Paul, MN area. Schedule:
- Flexible shifts including 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, or 11:00 AM–8:30 PM
- Rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely
- Monitor patient compliance, identify over-usage, and ensure medication appropriateness
- Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation with precision
- Counsel patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and answer inquiries
- Provide patient services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
- Educate patients on medical device usage such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established procedures
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory while complying with legal regulations
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Minnesota pharmacist license
- Acceptance of retail pharmacists, including those willing to train on specific duties
