Staff Pharmacist - Saint Paul, Minnesota

A pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment in the Saint Paul, MN area. Schedule:

• Flexible shifts including 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, or 11:00 AM–8:30 PM
• Rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely
• Monitor patient compliance, identify over-usage, and ensure medication appropriateness
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation with precision
• Counsel patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and answer inquiries
• Provide patient services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
• Educate patients on medical device usage such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established procedures
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory while complying with legal regulations
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Minnesota pharmacist license
• Acceptance of retail pharmacists, including those willing to train on specific duties
