This per diem opportunity focuses on providing pharmacy services in a health clinic environment serving a vulnerable patient population. The role involves typical retail pharmacy duties, including supervising pharmacy technicians and ensuring safe and effective medication use.
Location:
- San Francisco, CA (Equity Health - SOMA Clinic)
- Clinic accessible by public transit; parking nearby is limited and not reimbursed.
Schedule:
- Friday, March 6 | 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday, March 19 | 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 8 | 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians during shifts.
- Provide patient counseling with sensitivity to diverse and vulnerable populations.
- Use the New Leaf pharmacy system for medication management and record keeping.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and clinic policies.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active California pharmacist license in good standing.
- Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a clinic setting.
- Strong communication skills with an open, patient, and compassionate approach.
- Familiarity with pharmacy workflow in a community health environment.
- Residing within reasonable commute to San Francisco to facilitate ease of travel, preferably by train, given parking constraints.
