Seeking experienced per diem pharmacists to provide retail pharmacy coverage across multiple locations in California, including Sacramento, the Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern California (Redding and Chico). This role offers flexible, as-needed shifts averaging 1-2 per week, ideal for professionals seeking to supplement their current part-time schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional pharmacy services including prescription verification, patient counseling, and medication management.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures of the pharmacy.
  • Oversee and coordinate pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Administer immunizations in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software for accurate prescription processing and inventory management.
  • Commute to assigned retail locations with willingness to travel within designated areas.

Qualifications:

  • Current pharmacist license in California.
  • Minimum of one year retail pharmacy experience, including experience with opening/closing operations and supervising pharmacy technicians.
  • Immunization certification is mandatory.
  • Comfortable using McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to various store locations.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Location:

  • Positions available in Sacramento (3-4 openings), Bay Area/North Bay (2 openings), and Northern California (Redding, Chico) (2 openings).
