Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Sanford, FL

A healthcare facility in the Sanford, FL area is seeking a professional Staff Pharmacist for per diem coverage, with the opportunity to serve multiple pharmacy locations, including a regularly requesting site in Plantation (Ft. Lauderdale), FL. This role requires providing expert pharmacy support within a team that values empathy, professionalism, and proactive patient care.

Schedule:

• Thursday, 7/30, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Operational hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Friday 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (no weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately with a focus on retail and specialty HIV/AIDS therapies
• Establish and maintain trust with patients, demonstrating respect and sensitivity to those living with infectious diseases
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy team members to ensure optimal care and support
• Exhibit initiative by identifying pharmacy operational needs and contributing proactively to workflow and patient services
• Maintain timely and consistent attendance with a positive, teamwork-oriented attitude

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1–2 years of retail or specialty HIV/AIDS dispensing experience, with explicit HIV/AIDS drug knowledge clearly stated in the resume
• Proficiency using QS1 pharmacy software; candidates should be software savvy
• Demonstrated ability to build trust with vulnerable patient populations, showing empathy and respect
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
