Employment Type: Travel Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Work Hours 5x8-hour shifts per week — variable days and afternoons, including some weekends
Industry: Healthcare / Hospital Pharmacy

Responsibilities

Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently using Cerner
Supervise and support pharmacy technician staff throughout the shift
Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapy and patient care needs
Ensure safe medication dispensing and regulatory compliance throughout daily operations
Provide clinical coverage across hospital units during scheduled shifts
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes

Experience

Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
Comfortable with variable day and afternoon shift schedules, including occasional weekends
Cerner experience preferred

Skills

Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Effective communicator with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
Adaptable and reliable across a variable shift schedule
Comfortable integrating into an established hospital pharmacy team quickly

Qualifications

Active California Pharmacist License required
Full-time availability required

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
