Staff Pharmacist in Santa Fe, NM

This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist to work in a busy retail setting with flexible day shifts. The role starts as a 13-week contract to hire in Los Alamos, NM, offering a chance to transition to a permanent position.

Location: Los Alamos, NM
Schedule:

• Flexible start times: 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM
• Pharmacy hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM; Saturday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (rotating weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Deliver excellent customer service and provide thorough patient counseling
• Verify USP 800 Non-Sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only, no compounding required)
• Manage high prescription volume, approximately 600 prescriptions daily
• Utilize Pioneer pharmacy system to support workflow

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist License required
• Experience in non-sterile compounding verification preferred
• Background in a high-volume pharmacy environment is an advantage
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
