Pharmacist in Santa Fe, NM

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist on a day shift in a busy retail pharmacy setting. The role offers a 13-week contract with the potential to convert to a permanent position in Los Alamos, NM. This position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet store hours and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Los Alamos, NM
Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible start times at 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM
• Pharmacy open Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturdays 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (rotating weekends)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee pharmacy technicians ensuring efficient workflow
• Deliver excellent customer service and provide thorough patient counseling
• Verify non-sterile compounded prescriptions in compliance with USP 800 standards (no compounding required)
• Manage a high-volume pharmacy busily filling approximately 600 prescriptions daily
• Utilize Pioneer pharmacy system to support daily operations

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active and clear NM Pharmacist License required
• Experience with non-sterile compounding verification is beneficial
• Background working in a high-volume pharmacy preferred
• Open to recent graduates eager to develop their pharmacy career
