Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Sapulpa, Oklahoma

An established hospital is seeking two skilled inpatient pharmacists for a 13-week contract assignment starting October 5th. This role is ideal for licensed pharmacists with a solid background in hospital inpatient pharmacy operations, including intravenous (IV) preparation and verification. Applicants with 2+ years of inpatient experience are preferred.

Location: Sapulpa, OK

Schedule/Hours:

• Days and Evenings shifts
• 4x10-hour shifts per week
• Shift times: 12:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including medication preparation, dispensing, and verification
• Prepare and verify intravenous medications hands-on and through supervision
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient pharmacy operations
• Utilize EMR systems, specifically EPIC, for patient medication profiles and order processing
• Work with automation systems such as Pyxis and Carousel to manage medication inventory securely and efficiently
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and quality care

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with a valid Oklahoma pharmacy license in-hand
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and automated dispensing systems
• Available to work required shifts and complete a 13-week contract

Additional Details:

• The hospital has approximately 450 beds, offering a dynamic inpatient pharmacy environment
• Will consider first-time travel pharmacists; however, local candidates within 75 miles will not be accepted
