A pharmacist opportunity is available for a 13-week assignment at a small community hospital located on the scenic Oregon Coast. This role offers the chance to work in a close-knit, rural hospital setting where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication management.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shifts, 10–12 hours
- Weekdays: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Weekends: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily operations
- Perform pharmacokinetic assessments to optimize drug therapy
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert consultation
- Utilize Cerner and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist in Oregon with the ability to practice independently
- Full-time availability during the assignment period
- Willingness and ability to travel to the Oregon Coast for the assignment
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting, ideally within a rural or community hospital
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
