This opportunity is for a pharmacist to support a small community hospital located on the scenic Oregon Coast. The assignment is approximately 13 weeks in length, starting as soon as possible. This role involves providing skilled pharmacy services during day shifts within a rural hospital setting.

Schedule:

  • Weekdays: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (10-12 hour shifts)
  • Weekends: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities include:

  • Order verification and medication dispensing oversight
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
  • Managing pharmacokinetics functions and dosage adjustments
  • Consulting regularly with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
  • Utilizing pharmacy IT systems such as Cerner and Pyxis to support safe medication management

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist in the state of Oregon
  • Full-time availability to commit to the 13-week period
  • Ability to travel to and work within a rural community hospital setting
  • Experience with Cerner and Pyxis systems is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams
