An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a 250-bed hospital setting. This travel position is based in Northern California and offers the chance to work with a dynamic healthcare team in a well-equipped facility utilizing Cerner and Omnicell systems.

Schedule options include either four 10-hour shifts per week or a 7 days on/7 days off rotation, with shifts available during daytime or afternoon hours. This role supports critical hospital pharmacy operations by ensuring accurate medication order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nursing staff, and managing pharmacokinetics assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technician activities.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to optimize pharmacotherapy.
  • Perform pharmacokinetics monitoring and dosing adjustments as needed.
  • Utilize Cerner and Omnicell pharmacy management systems effectively.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active California pharmacist license.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy settings, including medication order review and patient-centered care.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and automated dispensing technologies.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility in adapting to various clinical and work schedule demands.
  • Completion of PGY1 residency preferred but not required.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm for travel and working in a Northern California location.
