Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Shepherdsville, Kentucky

This per diem role provides essential pharmacy support in a specialized HIV/AIDS retail environment, requiring a licensed pharmacist experienced in typical dispensing duties. Coverage is needed to assist through key days in the summer and holiday period, including coverage for sick calls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions in a retail pharmacy setting
• Check and verify medication orders for accuracy
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Utilize Pioneer Rx software for prescription management
• Provide knowledgeable support, with expertise in HIV/AIDS medications considered a strong advantage

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Kentucky pharmacist license
• Experience with retail pharmacy operations
• Familiarity with HIV/AIDS medication therapy preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to supervise and lead pharmacy technical staff
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Schedule:

• Wednesday, 5/13: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Thursday, 5/14: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday, 5/15: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Optional 4-hour paid training session available prior to coverage dates
