An immediate opportunity is available for a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist to provide essential coverage at a specialty HIV/AIDS pharmacy. This role offers flexible scheduling for select dates throughout the summer and leading into the holiday season. The position requires a dedicated professional to support day-to-day operations and provide coverage during staff absences.
Location: Shepherdsville, KY
Schedule:
- Wednesday 5/13, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday 5/14, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday 5/15, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Opportunity for up to 4 hours of paid training prior to assignment dates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and dispense prescribed medications
- Verify prescriptions and supervise pharmacy technicians
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and regulations
- Support specialty pharmacy services, particularly related to HIV/AIDS medications (experience preferred)
- Utilize Pioneer Rx software for pharmacy operations
Qualifications:
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy License required
- Prior retail pharmacy experience
- Familiarity with HIV/AIDS medications highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills
