Seeking an experienced pharmacist to support outpatient/retail pharmacy operations at a hospital-affiliated location on Nantucket, MA. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to practice pharmacy in a scenic island community with strong patient-centered care.
Position Details:
- Location: Nantucket, MA (Siasconset area)
- Role: Staff Pharmacist covering a vacancy
- Type: Contract, approximately 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
- Start: Immediate availability preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispensing medications and verifying prescriptions in an outpatient/retail setting
- Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to promote safe and effective medication use
- Providing excellent patient counseling and support
- Maintaining compliance with pharmacy laws and hospital policies
- Managing inventory and ensuring proper documentation
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts pharmacist license required
- Retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Availability for full-time day shifts throughout the assignment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to adapt to a travel assignment and a community-based practice setting
