Staff Pharmacist in Sicklerville, NJ

A pharmacy professional is needed immediately for an 8-week contract in Sicklerville, NJ. This role requires a comprehensive skill set in medication management and patient care within a pharmacy setting.

Schedule:

• Days
• Some evenings
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and in compliance with legal standards.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify patterns of over-usage.
• Ensure prescribed medicines are suitable for each patient.
• Maintain confidential and accurate patient records and pharmacy files.
• Advise patients on medication use, possible side effects, and answer related questions.
• Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications, including storage, dosage, and drug interactions.
• Offer additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for both external and internal use and prepare sterile solutions according to proper protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
• Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies effectively.
• Identify drug-related problems and collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to resolve issues.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacy interns, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is required.
• Licensed by the New Jersey State Pharmacy Board.
