Pharmacist - Silt, CO

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist with strong EPIC experience to support a facility transitioning from Meditech to EPIC EMR systems. This 20-week contract assignment is based in Silt, CO, with a projected end date in mid-August 2026. The role requires a detail-oriented professional to maintain high standards of medication management while ensuring patient safety and compliance.

Schedule:

• Rotating day/evening shifts, 40 hours per week
• Start times at 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday
• Rotating weekends, working 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications based on physician orders
• Manage medication stock in patient care areas
• Interpret medication orders and maintain electronic patient profiles accurately
• Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for medication handling, including controlled substances
• Monitor drug therapies for contraindications and interactions
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing according to hospital protocols
• Review culture and sensitivity data to guide antibiotic use
• Provide clinical consultation and cost-effective therapeutic alternatives
• Document clinical interventions and participate in quality improvement activities
• Deliver education and training to healthcare staff as needed
• Serve as a member of the Code Response Team

Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing
• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season, no exemptions permitted
• Must have strong EPIC EMR experience; Meditech experience is a plus
