This assignment supports a facility transitioning its EMR system from Meditech to Epic, making EPIC experience essential, while Meditech knowledge is a plus.

Schedule:
- Rotating day/evening shifts, 40 hours per week
- Start times at 06:30 or 08:00, Monday through Friday
- Rotating weekends with shifts from 07:00 to 12:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications per physician orders accurately and safely.
- Maintain stocked medication supplies in patient care areas.
- Interpret medication orders and manage computerized patient medication profiles.
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals including IV admixtures and parenteral nutrition.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and control substance regulations.
- Monitor drug therapy for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
- Perform pharmacokinetic dosing according to hospital protocols.
- Review culture and sensitivity data, recommending antibiotic adjustments.
- Provide clinical consultation to medical staff and educate patients and families.
- Document clinical activities accurately and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a member of the Code Response Team.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Pharmacy License in good standing.
- Graduate from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Required flu vaccine compliance between October 1 and April 1 (no exemptions).
- EPIC system experience is mandatory; Meditech experience is advantageous.
