Schedule:
- 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 7 days on, 7 days off
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles for individualized patient care
- Consult regularly with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy
- Support various units across the pharmacy including critical care units (CCU), leveraging prior experience with CCU patient care if available
Technology:
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records system
- Manage medication dispensing using Pyxis automated systems
Desired Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist with experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings
- Familiarity with order verification processes and pharmacy workflows
- Previous exposure to critical care environments is advantageous
