A staffing opportunity is available for a pharmacist to work a 7 on, 7 off night shift schedule in Sioux City, IA. This contract role offers an immediate start and will last for at least 13 weeks.
Schedule:
- Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 7 days on, 7 days off
Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, performing pharmacokinetics assessments, and consulting with physicians and nurses. The pharmacist will be responsible for servicing all units within the pharmacy, with particular attention to patients in the Critical Care Unit (CCU). Experience working with CCU patients is highly beneficial. Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist with previous hospital or pharmacy experience
- Capable of supervising pharmacy technicians effectively
- Skilled in pharmacokinetics and clinical consulting
- Experience using EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Comfortable serving a variety of patient care units, especially CCU
