Staff Pharmacist - Sioux City, Iowa

A pharmacist opportunity is available for a dedicated professional ready to take on a 7 on, 7 off night shift schedule. This role offers a chance to provide critical pharmacy services across multiple hospital units, including critical care, ensuring optimal medication management and patient safety.

Key responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth workflow
• Applying pharmacokinetics knowledge to personalize patient care
• Consulting and collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize therapy
• Serving all pharmacy units with a focus on critical care patients

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in hospital settings
• Familiarity with critical care unit (CCU) patient needs is advantageous
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and manage workload effectively

Schedule:

• Night shift, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 consecutive days on, followed by 7 days off
