Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Night Shift Hospital Contract

Soliant has an opening for an Inpatient Staff Pharmacist for a 13 week contract at a hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. Employment Type: Travel Contract

Work Hours: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM | 7 days on 7 days off | 40 hours per week

Industry: Healthcare / Hospital Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Verify and process medication orders accurately using EPIC across all hospital units
• Supervise and support pharmacy technician staff throughout the shift
• Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing adjustments for targeted medications
• Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapy and patient care needs
• Provide clinical coverage across all units including critical care and CCU patients
• Ensure safe medication dispensing and regulatory compliance throughout the shift

Experience

• Hospital pharmacy experience required
• Prior experience with CCU or critical care patients helpful
• Pharmacokinetics experience preferred
• Night shift hospital experience a plus

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently overnight
• Comfortable servicing all hospital units in a fast paced environment
• Effective communicator with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff
• Calm and reliable under pressure during overnight hours

Qualifications

• Active Iowa Pharmacist License required
• Proficiency in EPIC and Pyxis required

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
