Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in South San Francisco, CA

Pharmacists with retail experience are needed on a per diem basis to support multiple locations across California. This opportunity suits licensed pharmacists seeking flexible work schedules and additional shifts in a variety of markets including Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern California regions such as Redding and Chico.

Locations:

• Sacramento (3-4 pharmacists needed)
• Bay Area/North Bay (2 pharmacists needed)
• Northern California (Redding, Chico - 2 pharmacists needed)

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional pharmacy services including dispensing and verifying prescriptions.
• Open and close pharmacy operations efficiently.
• Manage and direct pharmacy technicians as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and safety standards.
• Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software system for daily pharmacy tasks.
• Administer immunizations as part of patient care responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in California.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience in opening/closing pharmacy shifts and supervising pharmacy technicians.
• Immunization certification required.
• Comfortable commuting to various store locations within specified areas.
• Ideal candidates are currently working part time and looking for additional shifts.

Additional Information:

• Per diem shifts are assigned as needed, typically 1-2 shifts per week per market.
• Mileage reimbursement available for travel exceeding 30 miles one way.
• Location flexibility is important for meeting coverage demands.
