Staff Pharmacist - Sparta, Michigan

A pharmacy role is available in Sparta, MI, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity with a part-time, ongoing schedule. This position features a mix of day and evening shifts with rotating weekends, supporting pharmacy operating hours from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends and holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This role is ideal for candidates with solid long term care pharmacy experience, specifically with hands-on involvement in PV1 and PV2 duties. Responsibilities include comprehensive long term care pharmacy operations such as performing PV1/PV2 tasks, supervising pharmacy technicians, conducting multi-dose and blister packaging, and preparing and verifying sterile and non-sterile medications including IVs and TPNs.

Familiarity with the Frameworks pharmacy system is highly preferred; however, training can be provided for the right candidate. A valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing is required.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior long term care pharmacy experience, including PV1 and PV2 duties
• Experience with compounding and verifying sterile/non-sterile preparations (IVs/TPNs)
• Supervisory experience with pharmacy technicians and multi-dose/blister packing
• Michigan pharmacist license in-hand and active
• Experience with Frameworks system preferred but not mandatory

Schedule:

• Part-time, ongoing assignment
• Mix of day and evening shifts
• Rotating weekends
• Pharmacy hours: Mon-Fri 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sat/Sun and holidays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
