Pharmacist - State College, PA

A hospital-based opportunity is open for a Staff Pharmacist to provide essential pharmaceutical care within a community hospital of approximately 150 beds. This contract role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment supporting inpatient services starting as soon as possible with a duration of 5 to 6 months or longer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring adherence to protocols
• Collaborate and consult with physicians regarding medication therapy
• Utilize electronic systems including Meditech, PharmacyKeeper, and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Full-time availability with flexibility to work variable days and afternoon shifts
• Familiarity with Meditech software highly preferred
