Staff Pharmacist | State College, Pennsylvania

An urgent opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to provide critical support in a community hospital setting. This role involves working in a dynamic environment within a 150-bed hospital, supporting inpatient pharmacy services. The position offers a chance to apply your skills in medication order verification, technician supervision, and physician consultation while working with advanced systems like Meditech, PharmacyKeeper, and Pyxis.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Consult with physicians to clarify and manage medication therapies
• Utilize Meditech, PharmacyKeeper, and Pyxis to support pharmacy operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with Meditech is highly desirable
• Ability to work full-time with flexibility for variable day and afternoon shifts

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoons, with some scheduling flexibility

Location:

• State College, PA

This assignment is a 5-6 month contract role with the potential for extension. Immediate availability is preferred to meet urgent staffing needs.
