Support patient health in a rural community pharmacy setting as a Per Diem Pharmacist covering a short-term assignment from July 15th through July 31st. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a close-knit environment serving primarily patients over 50 years old, with a moderate daily prescription volume averaging 120-130 scripts.
Schedule and Hours:
- 1st shift
- Monday through Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- No weekend hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify prescriptions to ensure safe dispensing
- Provide patient counseling to support medication adherence and understanding
- Oversee and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
Essential Qualifications:
- Active, clear Texas pharmacist license
- Experience in community health or retail pharmacy preferred
- Ability to work independently in a small, rural setting
Work Environment:
- Pharmacy uses Liberty system and is staffed by two experienced pharmacy technicians
- Script volume is manageable, allowing for thorough patient interaction
