Staff Pharmacist | Sturgis, South Dakota

An urgent opportunity is available for an experienced retail pharmacist within a grocery store pharmacy setting in South Dakota. This role is a contract position lasting 13+ weeks, offering up to 40 hours per week. The pharmacist will play a key role in delivering quality pharmaceutical services, ensuring patient safety, and supporting daily pharmacy operations.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Up to 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescriptions to ensure patient safety
• Review and oversee pharmacy technician tasks to maintain compliance and accuracy
• Provide thorough patient counseling and medication guidance
• Respond to pharmacy and patient telephone inquiries professionally
• Support daily operations and maintain efficient workflow within the pharmacy
• Assist the Pharmacist-in-Charge with additional duties as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active South Dakota Pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and service
• Ability to work independently while contributing to the pharmacy team environment
