Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Suffolk, Virginia

A Hospital Inpatient Pharmacist role is available for a 13-week contract starting 9/28 in Suffolk, VA. This position requires a licensed Virginia pharmacist with a minimum of one year of inpatient pharmacy experience. Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Shift options provide flexibility to fit various scheduling needs:

• Day Shifts: 0630–1500, 0730–1600, 0900–1730, 1000–1830
• Evening Shifts: 1300–2130, 1430–2300
• Overnight Shifts: 1930–0730, 2030–0730

Key responsibilities include verifying medication orders, order entry, and managing inpatient pharmacy operations. Proficiency with EPIC charting is required to ensure accurate electronic medical records documentation.

Desired skills and experience include:

• Intravenous (IV) medication handling
• Pain management and controlled analgesia
• Antibiotic administration and monitoring
• Recognition and management of drug interactions
• Chemotherapy medication knowledge (preferred)
• Anticoagulant therapy experience (preferred)
• Pharmacokinetic and renal dosing expertise (preferred)
