Pharmacist in Summit, MS

An opportunity is available for a Hospital Pharmacist specializing in Behavioral Health/Psych practice. This contract position offers the chance to work in a focused, supportive environment with flexible travel options. Location: Summit, MS (Behavioral Health/Psych setting) Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Checking, verifying, and conducting controls on medication dispensing
• Operating as the solo pharmacist with full responsibility for pharmacy operations during hours of service
• Collaborating with pharmacy technicians who will provide support during shifts
• Utilizing medDispense and Azalea Health (EHR) systems to manage medication profiles and ensure safe dispensing

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with valid credentials
• Retail pharmacy experience is acceptable; behavioral health or hospital experience is a plus but not required due to training availability
• Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacist on-site
• Familiarity or willingness to learn medDispense and Azalea Health electronic record systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
