Staff Pharmacist in Sylmar, CA

A long-term contract pharmacist opportunity is available within a prominent hospital setting in Sylmar, CA, under the Los Angeles County Department of Health System (LACDHS). This role is ideal for pharmacists with a PGY1 residency or hospital experience seeking to contribute to a large, respected health system that includes numerous ambulatory care clinics and hospitals. Candidates with approximately two years of current inpatient experience will also be considered.

Location:

• Sylmar, CA (LACDHS hospital)

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• Flexibility to work primarily 1st and 2nd shifts, with occasional 3rd shifts required

Desired Qualifications:

• PGY1 residency preferred; candidates without PGY1 but with some hospital experience (including intern experience) will be considered
• Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience favored
• Ability to pass a competency exam (one attempt only)
• Successful Livescan background check clearance
• Commitment to long-term contract engagement

Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient pharmacy services in a hospital setting
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Participate in on-site interviews and onboarding processes
• Demonstrate competency through an initial exam to ensure adherence to standards
