Outpatient Pharmacist

A respected LA County health system is seeking an outpatient pharmacist for a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential for permanent hire. Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient pharmacy duties in a high-volume clinical setting
• Verify prescriptions and ensure accurate medication dispensing
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient care
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and operational standards
• Support daily workflow and patient service initiatives within the outpatient pharmacy

Requirements

• Active California Pharmacist license
• PGY1 residency required OR approximately 2 years of current pharmacy experience
• Candidates with some hospital experience, including internship experience, may be considered
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
• Ability to work flexible 8-hour shifts including primarily days and evenings
• Must successfully pass a pharmacy competency exam and background screening process
