Pharmacist in Tatitlek, AK

A short-term opportunity is available to provide pharmacy services in a small, critical access hospital retail pharmacy located in remote Alaska. This assignment involves working at the retail pharmacy window to support essential medication dispensing and patient care.

Location:

• Tatitlek, AK (working at a facility in Cordova, AK)
• Experience the unique lifestyle and natural beauty of small-town Alaska during the summer months.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a one-hour lunch break (1:00 PM to 2:00 PM)

Duration:

• 7 weeks starting June 1st

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently at the retail pharmacy window
• Counsel patients on proper medication use and safety
• Manage medication inventory and maintain compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• Active Alaska pharmacist license
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Minimum of 2 years' pharmacy experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
