Staff Pharmacist - Tatitlek, Alaska

Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a unique setting as a Staff Pharmacist supporting a retail pharmacy in a critical access hospital located in a remote area of Alaska. This role involves filling prescriptions, advising patients, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations during a short-term assignment in a small, community-centered hospital environment.

Location: Tatitlek, AK (assignment based in remote Alaska)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (with a 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM lunch break)
  Assignment Duration: 7 weeks, starting June 1st

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and promptly at the retail pharmacy window
• Provide medication counseling and answer patient inquiries
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to support the hospital’s pharmacy services
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Alaska Pharmacist license
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in retail or hospital pharmacy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting
