Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Tazewell, VA

A Staff Pharmacist position is available for a skilled professional with retail pharmacy experience to work in a dynamic environment that includes both retail dispensing and non-sterile compounding. This role focuses primarily on retail order verification with limited counseling and requires accuracy in formula calculations for compounding.

Location:

• Tazewell, VA

Schedule:

• Fridays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Environment:

• Retail and Compounding Pharmacy

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough retail prescription checks to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Verify and perform formula calculations for non-sterile compounding
• Utilize Pioneer RX system for order entry and management
• Focus on quality control in the retail pharmacy line
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Virginia pharmacy license
• Proven experience in retail pharmacy practice
• Non-sterile compounding experience is highly beneficial
• Strong mathematical skills for compound formula verification
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX preferred
