Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Tazewell, Virginia

This position offers an opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to provide quality pharmaceutical care in a dynamic retail and compounding environment. The role focuses primarily on retail order verification with some responsibilities in non-sterile compounding review.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough retail prescription checks ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Verify non-sterile compounded prescriptions by performing calculations and formula assessments.
• Utilize Pioneer RX system for order entry tasks.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and protocols.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to support seamless daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia pharmacy license required.
• Proven experience in retail pharmacy settings.
• Knowledge and experience in non-sterile compounding strongly preferred.
• Proficient with pharmacy software, ideally Pioneer RX.
• Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills for formula verification.

Schedule:

• Fridays, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (per diem position).
