Staff Pharmacist - Temple, Pennsylvania

A healthcare facility in Temple, PA is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a contract position from May 4 to August 1. This role involves working five 8-hour day shifts per week.

Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders from physicians and extenders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of drug, dose, frequency, and route.
• Assess patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and lab data to prevent clinical conflicts.
• Dispense medications safely and manage inventory control.
• Provide drug information and support to healthcare team members.
• Supervise pharmacy students and technicians in medication preparation to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team on care planning and discharge processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education is required; Doctorate (PharmD) preferred.
• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Minimum of one year experience working in a hospital setting or completion of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification is preferred.
