A travel pharmacist opportunity is available to provide inpatient pharmacy services in a community hospital setting located a few hours from the Los Angeles area. This role, based in Ridgecrest, CA, involves working within an approximately 80-bed hospital that offers a supportive environment and diverse clinical exposure. The position is contract-to-hire, offering a pathway to permanent employment.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing inpatient pharmacy staffing duties to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing and patient care
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to support pharmacotherapy and clinical interventions
- Managing medication inventory and documentation utilizing Paragon pharmacy software
- Potentially participating in on-call rotations on working days, contributing to departmental coverage and emergency responses
Schedule details:
- 4 shifts per week of 10 hours each, with variable days and afternoons
- Flexibility to consider a 7 days on, 7 days off day-shift schedule based on candidate availability and hospital needs
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid California pharmacist license is required
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy settings, preferably within a hospital environment
- Familiarity with Paragon software is a plus, though not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing schedules and duties
