A travel pharmacist opportunity is available for a role supporting inpatient pharmacy operations at a community hospital in Ridgecrest, CA. This ~80-bed facility provides critical care services and is located just a few hours from the Los Angeles area. The position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, ideal for candidates seeking long-term placement after an initial trial period.

Work Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Variable days and afternoon shifts
  • Possible option for a 7 days on / 7 days off day-shift rotation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out inpatient pharmacy staffing duties to ensure smooth medication dispensing and management
  • Collaborating with clinical staff to optimize patient care through appropriate medication use
  • Potentially supporting on-call pharmacy services on scheduled workdays

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active California pharmacist license is required
  • Current experience working in an inpatient pharmacy setting
  • Familiarity with Paragon information technology system is a strong advantage
