Staff Pharmacist | Valdez, Alaska

A seven-week contract position is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support the retail pharmacy in a small, critical access hospital located in remote Alaska. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice pharmacy in a tight-knit community while enjoying the scenic beauty and summer activities of a small Alaskan town.

Location:

• Cordova, Alaska

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Retail hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Lunch break: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage dispensing and counseling at the retail pharmacy window
• Ensure accurate and efficient pharmaceutical care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree required
• Active Alaska pharmacist license
• Minimum two years of pharmacy experience
