Staff Pharmacist | Valdez, Alaska

Location: Valdez, AK (Assignment site in Cordova, AK)
Duration: 7 weeks starting June 1
Shift: Days, Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM with a lunch break from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Manage activities at the retail pharmacy window including dispensing medications and counseling patients
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory pharmacy standards
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to optimize patient medication therapies
• Maintain accurate records and oversee inventory management

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Alaska pharmacy license required
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a licensed pharmacist, preferably in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
• Strong communication and patient service skills necessary to work in a small community setting
