Staff Pharmacist in Ventura, CA

A full-time pharmacist opportunity is available within a multi-site hospital pharmacy system in Ventura County, CA. This role involves providing pharmaceutical care across three distinct locations: the medical center, a hospital, and an infusion center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float between pharmacy locations to ensure continuous pharmaceutical services
• Dispense medication accurately and safely, including handling hazardous drugs and compounding chemotherapy
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Adapt to variable schedules, including 8- and 10-hour shifts, swing shifts, every other weekend, and holiday coverage

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in hospital or infusion pharmacy settings
• Comfortable working with hazardous medications and chemotherapy compounding
• Ability to travel daily among three pharmacy locations within Ventura County
• Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems preferred; training available for the right candidate
• Local candidates preferred to support the travel requirements

Schedule:

• Full-time hours with shifts varying between 8 and 10 hours based on location
• Includes swing shifts, coverage every other weekend, and holidays
