Staff Pharmacist | Vineland, New Jersey

This pharmacy role involves providing comprehensive medication management and patient care in a fast-paced setting. As a licensed pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring safe and effective medication use, offering consultation to patients, and supervising pharmacy operations during a dynamic 8-week assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and detect over-usage patterns.
• Verify the suitability of prescribed medicines for patients.
• Maintain confidential patient records accurately and securely.
• Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer related questions.
• Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage and drug interactions.
• Offer patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies appropriately.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related problems.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Valid pharmacy license issued by the New Jersey State Pharmacy Board.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, medication management, and patient counseling.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a healthcare team environment.

Schedule:

• Day shifts with some evenings and rotating weekends.
