Staff Pharmacist in Vineland, NJ

A licensed pharmacist is needed for an 8-week contract assignment starting ASAP in Vineland, NJ. This role offers a dynamic schedule including day shifts, some evening hours, and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and compliantly
• Monitor patient medication compliance and detect overuse patterns
• Ensure all medicine supplies comply with legal regulations
• Verify prescriptions for suitability and safety for patients
• Maintain confidential and accurate patient and pharmacy records
• Advise patients on medication usage, possible side effects, and answer questions
• Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications including storage, dosage, and drug interactions
• Deliver additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure, and cholesterol monitoring
• Educate patients on the use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound medications for internal and external use, including sterile preparations following standard protocols
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain and manage pharmaceutical inventory
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related problems

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
• Active pharmacist license in New Jersey
• Proven knowledge of pharmacy laws, procedures, and best practices
• Strong communication and leadership skills
