Pharmacist in Warrenton, OR

A pharmacist role is available for approximately a 13-week assignment at a small rural hospital on the Oregon Coast. This opportunity involves providing pharmacy services at a community hospital setting, ideal for candidates licensed in Oregon who have full-time availability and can travel.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety and compliance.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations.
• Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing adjustments.
• Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
• Utilize pharmacy systems including Cerner for electronic records and Pyxis for medication dispensing.

Schedule:

• Day shifts with 10 to 12 hours per shift.
• Weekdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Weekends from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications:

• Current Oregon pharmacist license required.
• Experience working in a hospital pharmacy, preferably in a small or rural setting.
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records and Pyxis medication management systems.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams.
