Staff Pharmacist - Warrenton, OR

This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist to support a small rural hospital on the Oregon Coast with a contract assignment lasting approximately 13 weeks. The role focuses on pharmacy operations within a community hospital setting, providing essential clinical and technical services across day shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Apply pharmacokinetics principles to optimize patient medication therapy
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert pharmaceutical consultation
• Utilize Cerner electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems

Schedule:

• Day shifts including weekdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (10–12 hour shifts)
• Weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in Oregon is required
• Full-time availability during the assignment period
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in hospital pharmacy practice, preferably in smaller community settings
• Ability and willingness to relocate or travel to the Oregon Coast for the duration of the contract
