A pharmacist role is available for approximately a 13-week assignment at a small rural hospital on the Oregon Coast. This opportunity involves providing pharmacy services at a community hospital setting, ideal for candidates licensed in Oregon who have full-time availability and can travel.
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety and compliance.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations.
- Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing adjustments.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
- Utilize pharmacy systems including Cerner for electronic records and Pyxis for medication dispensing.
Schedule:
- Day shifts with 10 to 12 hours per shift.
- Weekdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Weekends from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- Current Oregon pharmacist license required.
- Experience working in a hospital pharmacy, preferably in a small or rural setting.
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records and Pyxis medication management systems.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to work full-time hours and relocate or travel as needed.

- Situated in Warrenton, Oregon, along the scenic Oregon Coast.
