A retail-specialty pharmacy in Waterbury, Connecticut is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage for a short-term assignment. This opportunity involves a manageable workflow focused primarily on respiratory medications in a low-volume setting. The role requires a pharmacist who can operate independently, delivering accurate prescription verification and excellent patient counseling.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify approximately 12 prescriptions daily
• Operate independently without technician support
• Provide patient counseling and maintain high standards of customer service
• Efficiently manage workflow in a specialty retail environment
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations

Schedule/Shift:

• Assignment dates: May 31 – June 10
• Training required May 26 – May 29 (for those without QS1 experience)
• Shift options: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• PRN schedule supporting vacation coverage

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• QS1 pharmacy system experience preferred; training provided if needed
• Ability to work independently without technician support
• Strong attention to detail and patient care focus
