A PRN Pharmacist opportunity is available to support vacation coverage at a retail-specialty pharmacy in Waterbury, Connecticut. This short-term assignment features a structured training period to ensure smooth onboarding. The pharmacy specializes in respiratory medications and maintains a manageable, low-volume workflow, ideal for pharmacists seeking a focused and steady pace.

Schedule/Shift:
- Assignment Dates: May 31 – June 10
- Training: May 26 – May 29 (required if no prior QS1 experience)
- Shift Options: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- PRN (as-needed) schedule providing vacation coverage
Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and verify approximately 12 prescriptions daily
- Operate independently without technician assistance
- Provide thorough patient counseling and deliver exceptional customer service
- Manage workflow efficiently in a retail-specialty setting focused on respiratory medications
- Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing
- Recent retail or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience with QS1 pharmacy system preferred; training provided if needed
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient care
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities without technician support
