Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Waterbury, Connecticut

A PRN Pharmacist position is available in Waterbury, CT to provide vacation coverage for a retail-specialty pharmacy focused on respiratory medications. This role offers a manageable, steady workflow with approximately 12 prescriptions filled and verified daily. Ideal candidates will work independently, deliver excellent patient care, and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescriptions with minimal volume
• Operate without technician support, managing all workflow tasks
• Provide patient counseling and maintain superior customer service
• Adhere to all applicable pharmacy laws and policies
• Complete a structured training period if needed

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy system preferred; training provided if required
• Ability to work independently and maintain strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Schedule:

• Assignment: May 31 – June 10, with a required training period from May 26 – May 29 (4 days) if no QS1 experience
• Shift options: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• PRN schedule providing vacation coverage
