Staff Pharmacist | West Jordan, Utah

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations in West Jordan, UT on a 12-week contract starting ASAP. This role offers a balanced schedule with shifts Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal regulations.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and identify over-usage patterns.
• Ensure prescribed medicines are appropriate and provide expert advice to patients on dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Maintain confidential and accurate patient records, managing pharmacy files meticulously.
• Deliver patient services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the use and care of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
• Compound medications for internal and external use and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, maintaining proper inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Utah pharmacist license in-hand (required).
• Retail pharmacy experience is welcome; training will be provided for qualified candidates new to the retail environment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and lead a pharmacy team.
