An opportunity is available for an experienced outpatient pharmacist to join a healthcare facility in West Lafayette, IN. This direct hire role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing a consistent workweek and the chance to contribute to quality patient care in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter, interpret, and review prescriptions, including drug utilization review and prescriber communication
- Compound and dispense prescribed medications while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Supervise professional and support personnel within the pharmacy team
- Process claims for third-party reimbursement efficiently
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide pharmaceutical consultations
- Respond to pharmaceutical inquiries from patients and healthcare personnel
- Monitor storage, distribution, and appropriate use of pharmaceuticals
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution
- A minimum of three years of relevant pharmacy experience
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Indiana
- Clean criminal record with no felonies
