Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - White Salmon, Washington

A per diem relief pharmacist role is available in a small town on the Washington/Oregon border, supporting a 25-bed critical access hospital. This position offers the opportunity to provide valuable pharmacy services in a close-knit healthcare environment.

Location: White Salmon, WA

Schedule/Hours:

• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM shifts
• Specific coverage dates include July 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 30, 31; August 6, 7, 14, 15, 20, 21, 24, 25; and Fridays in September
• No on-call responsibilities
• Pharmacy technician coverage is available during shifts

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital policies and physician orders
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
• Utilize hospital IT systems, including Cerner and Pyxis, for medication management and documentation
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety standards
• Provide medication counseling and support as needed

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of current hospital pharmacy experience required
• Proficient in Cerner and Pyxis systems is highly valued
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a small hospital setting

This per diem position includes an initial training period to help familiarize you with hospital procedures and systems before coverage begins. The shift schedule allows for a balanced work-life integration without on-call duties.
