Staff Pharmacist | Whitney, Nebraska

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist ready to take on a travel assignment in the Whitney, NE area, with initial placement in Chadron, NE starting mid-August for a duration of 13 weeks or longer. This role requires day shift availability, supporting pharmacy operations open Monday through Saturday with Sunday off.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising and guiding pharmacy technicians to ensure quality workflow
• Consulting with physicians to optimize patient care and medication therapy
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles to tailor medication dosing
• Utilizing pharmacy systems such as Cerner and Omnicell

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with proven experience in hospital or retail pharmacy settings
• Proficient in medication order verification and pharmacist supervision
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams
• Familiarity with pharmacy IT systems like Cerner and Omnicell preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflow processes

Schedule:

• Weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Sundays off
