Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Whittier, CA

A healthcare facility is seeking a Per Diem Inpatient Pharmacist to provide essential support on upcoming weekend shifts. This role offers an opportunity to contribute directly to patient care in a smaller hospital setting with a close-knit team environment.

Location: Whittier, CA
Schedule:

• Saturday, March 28, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Sunday, March 29, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough checking and verification of medication orders
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing
• Utilize CPSI electronic medical records system for documentation and communication
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures, with recent hospital compliance accepted within 12 months

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist license
• Experience working in an inpatient pharmacy setting, preferably in a small hospital environment
• Proficiency in using CPSI or similar EMR systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to supervise pharmacy support staff
