Location: Whittier, CA
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, flexible to cover 1st and 2nd shifts primarily; occasional 3rd shifts may be required.
Job Type: Contract, with potential for contract-to-hire.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, dispense, and review medications for inpatient care in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize pharmaceutical care and ensure patient safety.
- Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to medication management decisions.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to regulatory and competency standards.
- Complete mandatory competency examinations and background checks as part of onboarding.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with active license to practice.
- Preference for candidates who have completed a PGY1 residency or possess approximately two years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
- Candidates without PGY1 but with some hospital experience, including internship, will also be considered.
- Ability to work all shifts with flexibility, especially 1st and 2nd shifts.
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to providing quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
